Tapping Rhythms

Choose which note values are in play, a meter from 2/4 to 4/4, and one or two bars. You get a random rhythm on a one-line percussion staff, a count-in, and then you tap it — space bar or the tap pad — and every note is marked right or wrong against where it should have landed.

This is the one rhythm tool that asks you to sign in, because it grades you and saves the result to your progress. Reading rhythms, on its own page, is free and saves nothing.

A 🔊 listen button plays the correct rhythm once before you tap it. Grading windows narrow around fast neighboring notes so a quick passage can't be gamed by mashing, and every tap is corrected for your own device's output latency before it's judged, so a Bluetooth speaker's delay doesn't turn an on-time tap into a miss.
